  2. Singapore Difference #1

Your identification, like my work pass or a driver’s license, is called your IC not your ID. It stands for Identity Card.

Something on the side of this Honey Bunches of Oats with Strawberries box is censored in Singapore. Can someone go to the store and take a picture or tell me whats under that sticker?

  7. Construction Workers

It’s very pleasant how nice all the construction workers are here.

They are predominantly Indian and you can’t walk a hundred metres here in Singapore without seeing one. But each time I see as guy working, I give a little smile and nod. So far, without fail, they have responded in kind or with a big grin.

    That just makes me happy.

  8. First microblog post

    Hi everyone!

It’s been really hard to keep up with blogging and keeping everyone informed, so I’m going to try micro-blogging! That’s really just a lot like Facebook status updates, but with more stuff and at a central site. My microblog can be found at:

    http://microblog.randallknapp.com

I’ll be able to update it from my phone and over the next few months, let everyone in on my day to day living in Singapore. You can subscribe to this via RSS for you reader types, as well as see the updates on Facebook.

On the left, you can click “Ask me anything!” to ask me a question. When I answer I’ll post it here so other people can see. Or, you can click “Submit something!” and send me a photo or whatever you would like to see on my blog.

Thanks for tuning in everyone, I’m looking forward to your feedback!
